Mater Research, in partnership with Mater Education, is pleased to present the 2017 iResearch course commencing in early 2017.
This course is aimed at novice researchers who wish to develop a study protocol addressing a clinical research question of their choice.
Topics covered include:
- developing a research question
- effective literature searching
- research design
- ethical considerations
- sample size calculations
- data management plans.
All participants require Head of Department approval and nomination of a research mentor.
Once you have been accepted by Mater Research, you will be invited to register through MoVES where all course material will be available. Registrants are required to complete all out-of-session course work and to attend workshop sessions. The course culminates in Mater’s 3-Minute Thesis competition in which iResearch participants present their research questions to peers and facilitators.
In order to successfully complete this course and receive a certificate of completion, participants will be required to present a 3-Minute Thesis presentation and develop and research protocol.
